В игре очень необычное меню, есть поддержка EAX, 24-bit звука.
Тени, шейдеры присутствуют. Ноги игрока видны 
Все мрачно. Держит в напряжении. В отличии от doom3 светлее, головы у персонажей не квадратные.
Меню хелпов и субтитров в самой игре отдает приставочностью.
