Dear Customer
Thank you for writing to Amazon.de.
Our records show that we have not charged for this order as this order was not yet shipped.
We ask you once again to check your recent orders in "Mein Konto" on our home page (http://www.amazon.de). You can also investigate the transaction recorded on your credit card or bank statement.
Information regarding our debit process:
We will not debit money from your credit card until just before your items are dispatched. If an order is sent out more than one delivery, we will charge only for those items that have been sent out.
Your account will usually be charged approximately 24 hours after the items have entered the dispatch process. You will find the transaction recorded on your bank account statement three days later or on your next monthly account statement.
Please rest assured that you haven’t been charged for this order. Most likely, your bank is holding this extra authorisation on your card. Some banks have been known to hold these authorisations for 7-10 business days, and you will need to contact your bank if you wish to have this authorisation removed.
When you place an order with Amazon.de or on Amazon.de Marketplace, we contact your payment card's issuing bank to confirm that your card has a valid number, and has not been reported as lost or stolen.
This is communicated via a full authorisation for the amount of the purchase. However, we do not actually proceed with the charge. This is simply one of the security measures that we use to protect our customers.
Please feel free to contact us again if you have any further queries. Please accept my sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. We value your business and look forward to the opportunity to serve you again soon at Amazon.de.
